Made of fruit wood walnut and an elm seat.
Height 43.5inches.
Width 28inches.
Front cabriole legs joined by an 'H' stretcher, central vase shaped splat.
Attributed to the Thames Valley.

  18th century Comb back Windsor.
This 18th century Comb back is a superb chair it is mostly yew wood,the seat is of elm, the chair has four cabriole legs joined by a very well turned 'H' stretcher.It is a very impressive chair and being of yew wood is most rare and only a few have been recorded.

A beautiful and rare Windsor chair.

An American 'Crown-top' rocking chair with scroll seat painted black with gold linings. Probable made in Vermont, possible in Danville VT similar to chairs made by Samuel Ingalls, 1840-1850. The seat and crest painted with flowers in bright colours.

Windsor elbow chair with rush seat.

An unusual and most interesting 19th century Comb-back Windsor chair.
With cabriole legs front and back this chair though made in America is of the style of an eighteeth century English Thames Valley Comb-back Windsor elbow chair. What is most unusual is that it has a rush seat,which has not been previously recorded either in the UK or the USA.
It has a label affixed which states,Made by J.H.MAYER.1170, Fulton Street, Brooklyn NY.
The seat has been re-rushed.

Comb-back Windsor chair Circa 1770.

This fruitwood and elm Comb-back elbow chair has cabriole front legs which are joined by an 'H' stretcher. It has an very fine and unusual central splat design which is previously unrecorded.

It is in excellent condition.
